SWANSEA patients face battling agonising dental pain over an entire weekend because of a lack of emergency places, according to campaigners. They also claim the criteria for the weekend out-of-hours dental service is so strict that even mums-to-be and those in severe pain are being denied treatment. Only 12 emergency places are available on Friday night, along with both Saturday night and Sunday evening, to people across the Iechyd Morgannwg area which covers Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and the Swansea Valley.
