Self-appointed tooth fairy: Woman removes all of ex-boyfriend’s teeth after he dumps her – NJ.com
For one woman, breaking up is much like pulling teeth — or at least the revenge of being dumped came down to that.
According to a report by the Austrian Times, Anna Mackowiak, 34, faces three years in prison in Wroclaw, Poland for removing all of her boyfriend’s teeth after he dumped her for a new woman.
Mackowiak’s ex-boyfriend Marek Olszewski, 45, reportedly showed up to her office complaining of tooth pain just days after dumping her.
Machowiak admitted she was unable to maintain her professionalism and instead saw the visit as an opportunity to seek revenge.
“I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions,” she reportedly said. “But when I saw him lying there I just thought, ‘What a bastard’ and decided to take all his teeth out.”
Machowiak gave her ex a heavy dose of anesthesia — putting him to sleep, then plucked out all of his teeth. She then bandaged his head and jaw and when he woke up, told him he would need to see a specialist as there had been complications.
Marek said he suspected something was wrong the minute he woke up to find his mouth numb and bandaged but had no reason to suspect his ex-girlfriend had acted improperly.
“I didn’t have any reason to doubt her,” he admitted, “I mean I thought she was a professional.”
Marek said when he went home he was alarmed to find he was in fact toothless.
His new girlfriend has reportedly left him since the incident and he is now preoccupied with getting dentures to replace his missing teeth.
Machowiak is reportedly under investigation by the prosecutor for medical malpractice and abusing the trust of a patient.

Tooth pain is the signature of the fifth cranial nerve – Great Falls Tribune
The pain usually begins as a twinge, and along with it, dread of what is to come.
In my experience, once it starts, it intensifies quickly, becoming cutting or stabbing. Doctors call this “lancinating pain.”
The sensation of a toothache is unlike any other. While the list of causes can be lengthy, even including sinus infection and arthritis of the jaw joint, I would like to focus on one particular cause: abscess of the tooth. First, however, let us further discuss this pain.
Nerves to organs outside of the central nervous system are called peripheral nerves. They are paired, left and right, and arise from the spinal cord, or if innervating organs about the head, they arise from the brain and exit the skull or cranium. There are 12 cranial nerves, and the fifth cranial nerve is the culprit that innervates our teeth.
When we have a compromised tooth, and the agony begins, blame cranial nerve five. Its job is to communicate misery. This nerve also provides innervation to the ear, the muscles of the scalp, the jaw joint, as well as sensation to the skin of the head. Allow me to illustrate.
A recent trip to the dentist revealed that I had a cracked filling with some associated tooth decay. I had been experiencing some sensitivity to cold and hot fluids.
The dentist also serendipitously discovered a loose cap which also had to be replaced, however, this had yet to become symptomatic. After these teeth were treated, I was greeted the following weekend by an intense tooth ache on the opposite side from the new filling.
My first thought was another bad filling because most amalgam repairs of teeth eventually age and fail. The pain, however, intensified with a crescendo unlike any I had experienced previously. It seemed that all the teeth on my lower left side were hurting.
The pain seemed to recruit other organs to hurt as my ear began to throb, and I began to get a headache. There even seemed to be a systemic effect as a feeling of weakness and malaise seemed to creep into the picture. Fortunately, I was able to secure a cancellation appointment, but after initial evaluation, no obvious cause for the pain was forthcoming. The answer would require another X-ray.
These new digital dental X-rays are quite instructive, by the way. A side-long glance told me what I needed to know. There was a dark spot beneath what appeared to be a perfectly normal, capped tooth. This spot revealed an abscess: an infectious pocket of pus. My dentist was quick to point out that sometimes a tooth will just die for no apparent reason. Oh, what joy!
A root canal of course gives me hope for saving the tooth, but that is scheduled two weeks down the road. For now I must place my trust in the miracle of antibiotics.
Meanwhile, I am reflecting upon the exquisite nature of pain afforded us by the fifth cranial nerve. Once the abscess put pressure upon the nerve, every organ serviced by cranial nerve five on that side of my head began to hurt.
All of the teeth, especially on the left lower side, the left ear and the jaw hurt and there was a headache or course. Then there was the general malaise usually associated with infection. While I have never identified much with the theological concept of predestination, I am glad that is over.
Meanwhile, the infection seems to be in full retreat thanks to clindamycin capsules. Who would have thought someone capable of a looking forward to a root canal?

The best and most recommended manner of preventing decay is to brush your teeth after eating. This will ensure that the bacteria does not have food feed on, thus, not producing acids that cause decay.
In case you notice that you have the disorder, you should immediately go for a checkup. The dentist will have the capacity of diagnosing the decay by taking x-rays and thoroughly examining your teeth. This is the only way that he will tell you how bad the decay really is. Having established that your teeth have decayed, the dentist will go ahead and recommend a course of treatment. If the decay has caused cavities, your dentist will probably recommend filling. However, if the decay is severe, you might be due for a root canal or crown. The dentist might also have to remove your teeth in extreme circumstances. Therefore, the best way to tell if you have the condition is to visit your dentist for a checkup.
Overall, tooth decay is a condition that is caused by bacteria eating food. The best way to prevent this condition is to, thoroughly brush your teeth or floss after meals. This will help to remove excess food from the mouth, thus, ensuring the safety of your teeth.
